Fave Spring Trends: Florals, Rompers and Kimonos

March 21, 2015

Spring always finds me more than ready for a wardrobe change: open toe shoes, light sweaters and FLORALS! It would seem this season, bold flower prints aren’t just for your grandma’s curtains.

This ensemble combines a few of my favorite spring trends, all in one! Florals, rompers and kimonos! Oh, my!

Spring Trends

I’ve been seeing floral prints all over! And, happen to see this little number at Marshall’s last week (Brand is “Band of Gypsies sold at Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, ASOS and Topshop- but unfortunately don’t have an online store. Sadface). I’m always down for a good romper- I probably own at least 10! I felt this particular choice was a good one for yesterday’s Midwest weather. I needed touch of spring, but it was still a bit chilly for shorts or a skirt, so the pant legs won me over.

Floral RomperThis beige kimono has been in my closet for about 5 years, from Forever 21. I’ve even used it as a swimsuit coverup.  Oh, the versatility! I did a little online digging and found a cream one from ASOS, here. And a lovely floral version from Forever 21, here.

Floral Romper

Handbag from Aldo (old), similar can be found here, also Aldo.

Necklace from Zara. Sorry ladies, I’ve looked and looked and I can’t find anything similar anywhere. I originally picked it out because I thought it was somewhat unique (I get the irony that it was purchased from a retailer that does mass production) but it kind of had this medieval funky vibe going and it matched the pair of snakeskin heels I was purchasing at the time. Good statement piece investment!

My other favorite trend for spring, not shown here is FRINGE! I can’t wait to get my paws on a fringy bag and I am waiting on an amazing fringe skirt from H&M in the mail. That’ll be next post!

Here’s to enjoying the weekend. Toots! Kelli
