Recipes for thanksgiving

Happy Fall y’all! Thanksgiving is this week and I thought I’d share a few of my favorite comfort food dishes that are perfect for the holidays! Although it seems like I try a new recipe every holiday season, I always go back to a few favorites. I thought I’d share a few of these favorites with you, that I’ve blogged over the last two years. This year I’m contributing the scalloped pineapple, and the hot buttered rum cake. (Try these, I promise you won’t be disappointed!)

Just click on the photos below and you’ll be directly linked to the original blog post along with the recipes.

Ok, Doritos on your mac and cheese might be less than traditional- but, if you’re not feeling funky and want to go a little more classic, just omit those. I mean, what is Thanksgiving with out macaroni and cheese?!?!

Scalloped Pineapple

Scalloped PineappleThis is my favorite holiday dish of all! You can serve this as a side dish, or with ice cream or a cream sauce for dessert.

and last, but certainly not least- this drool-worthy Hot Buttered Rum Cake

Hot Buttered Rum Cake 2-tag

There’s a story behind this one- and I only allow myself to make it about once a year, because I eat atleast half of it myself and I have no self control. It’s that good!

I’d love it you shared some of your favorite recipes for the holidays below in the comments section!
