Are you drooling yet? I was when I saw these photos that Houlihan’s sent over of some of their “better for you” menu items. When they asked me to check them out and and share with you guys what I though, I said, UM DUH. (I mean if there’s food involved, am I gonna say no?)
If you’re like me, it’s hard to find healthy choices when eating out (that is when I’m looking for healthy choices!) I typically try to eat healthy at home, and get whatever I want when at a restaurant. But when I’m out running errands or have a busy afternoon, the last thing I want is something heavy and greasy. In comes Houlihan’s Better For you Menu. Did y’all know about this?
The new menu gives you the opportunity to indulge in flavor-packed appetizers, entrées, desserts and sparkling flavored waters (I had the ginger lime which was thabomb.com btw) without over-indulging on your calorie count.
So here I am to share some of the healthy menu items I tried with you guys! (All pictured above).
New Menu Items:
Grilled Chicken Wings: drizzled with housemade Cuban mojo sauce and cotija cheese, $10.95
Mediterranean Black Bean Dip (V)*: Kalamata olives, feta cheese, extra virgin olive oil. Served with lavosh crackers, cucumbers and carrots, $8.95
Pan-Roasted Chicken and Spiralized Sweet Potato ‘Linguine’ (GS)*: with poblano crema sauce and crisp bacon dust, $12.95
Bite-Size Pot de Crème (GS)*: Vanilla Ginger, Chocolate Rhubarb or Bourbon Butterscotch Brûlée. $1.50 each | $4 flight of 3 (ANNNNDDD they’re under 101 calories each!)
