Mornin’ y’all! It’s almost the end of the week- so I thought I’d start out your Thursday with a post that’s appropriate for the end of the week- because we all need a cocktail after work sometimes.

I wore the outfit on the left to lunch today- we went to Milktooth in Fountain Square. Speaking of- check out this drool worthy sandwich, which Aaron ordered. (Much more exciting than my salad, although it was good too!) “The Cuban Lamb Frita” with a runny egg on top!

Today they had Beausoleil oysters available for individually; so I of course, had to order one of those to go with my salad- with  chopped cucumber and some kind of mignette- slighty sweet and delicious!

If you haven’t gone to Milktooth- check it out! Their menu is always changing and evolving, and they have a great drink list- both coffee and cocktails! I had the rose sour bubbles drink, and it was FABBBBULOUUUSSSS! (But it’s not often I don’t like a champagne cocktail).

Ok, chicas- on to today’ post- “How to take your outfit from day to night with a few simple outfit tweaks!”

First, let me start by confessing that this tank and bralette were on my body when I crawled out of bed this morning. . . soooooo, there’s that. (I wanted to be comfy, soooo what?) The skirt is a stretchy, pleather-like material from Macy’s “Material Girl” line. I’ve had it for a few years but I wear it with tees and crop tops- dress down, dress up!

I wore my chucks (always a go-to in my book), my aviators and my caged jelly bag for a casual look. I was tossing around the idea of wearing heels (and then decided against it because 1. we were just going to lunch and 2. Fountain square is uber hipster and I knew I would get even more weird looks there than I already do on a normal basis.  HA!)

This gave me an idea! Many times I’ll hack around during the day and not want to completely change my outfit and get ready for the evening. Why not just bring a few evening wardrobe  essentials and it immediately changes up your look from day to night in just a few minutes!

Here are a few evening wardrobe accessories that will change your outfit from day to night in a snap!

    1. a good pair of heels. These make you instantly sexier. Because, heels.
    2. an evening clutch, or a smaller purse that compliments your outfit somehow. (What are you wearing for the day? Chose something that goes more with your outfit, versus your every day bag that you are carrying)
    3.  some jazzy night time jewelry- for this outfit I chose a leather strap necklace (to compliment the skirt) . Pick something a bit bling-ier than what you wore during the day. Unless your fabulous all day long. Then you already have that department covered!

Here are a few pics of my day time look, and then the three accessories listed above to make it into a night time look- what a massive difference heels make, right? I feel like its a completely different outfit once I put heels on! I also thought adding a blazer could go either way- day time (office look) or “formalize” it up a little bit for the evening.
