It’s officially summer and there a few essentials you’re gonna need to make a splash at your next pool party. Check out my guide for 15 pool party essentials to help you look good, feel good and have a killer time!
Some of these items are pretty obvious- duh. Of course your gonna need a swimsuit, beach bag and towel. A water-proof floating speaker and floating beer pong table will be sure to up the annie- and don’t forget the Super Soaker. Wait. Super Soaker? (“Why do I need a Super Soaker? I’m not 12,” is probably what you’re thinking.) Let’s think outside the box just a teensy bit my pool going friends. Can you say, VODKA!??! POOL PUNCH!!! (I’m not 12 but I am Forever 21. Har, har.) Always looking to have a good time- and so should y’all!
This summer season I’m loving anything with fruit on it- it seems like pineapple and watermelons are everywhere! AND I am swooning over the “tipsy” from shopandbo.com. Check out this site for the CAUUUUUTEST gift items and randoms. I highly recommend it for gifts and stocking stuffers, etc. (Now ordering their super cute coozie set!)

Also gals- I know when it comes to sun safety, there are those of us who think we are invincible to the suns devilish (yet delectably) warming rays. However, I NEVER leave the house without sunscreen! I wear mine every day- in my makeup! For a lighter option (great for the pool or beach), try this “5 in 1 Natural Moisturizing Sun Screen SPF 30”.
Last- I wanted to recommend a new beer I recently tried- this one’s for all you ladies! (Or you pansy dudes who like girly beer.) While I like beer, I can usually only drink a few for the sole reason it just fills me up so quickly. “The Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Ale”. This particular beer is a “one and done” for me (a little sweet)- but is an awesome refreshment on a hot summer day!
Aaron and I had gone hiking one day at Fort Ben and stopped at the Fort Ben pub afterward. They had this beer here and I took a pic and immediately sent it to all my girlfriends, telling them to try it! So ladies, even if you are a girl who doesn’t really like beer- this one is more of a carbonated juice- a shandy if you will. Give it a try and I promise you’ll like it!
Today’s pool shenanigans. Lots of good gossip and catching up with this lady and her sis, Melissa.
Of course, we didn’t forget the junk food. (I may or may not have had a doughnut for lunch.) Also- did y’all know that the bakery will custom ice doughnuts if you ask them? These have cake icing on them! MMMMMM!
