I typically don’t have to dress up too fancy for work- I recently just changed jobs and I work in plant where I can pretty much wear anything casual I want- jeans and chucks are completely fine (if that’s what I choose). However, on this day I attended a panel forum at IU Kokomo with my boss, who was wearing a suit, so I decided I probably needed to class it up a little. (Don’t worry, I left the chucks in the car. I have a bit of a drive so I really did wear chucks during the commute). No shame in my sneaker game.
I purchased this dress at Marshall’s at the end of the season last winter, and haven’t had the opportunity to wear it. Hello, big girl job. I love the stretchy material of this dress, and the length. I feel like it was sassy, but conservative enough to wear for work.
I feel like I need to disclose that I watched 3 amazing episodes of my strange addiction tonight while editing photos, and working on some upcoming blog stuff, with my fellow blogger Brittney Mason. (Check her blog out here: www.theprettyplus.com) Any who, the best was the lady who liked to sniff and chew on used diapers. I feel like my night was complete after watching that. I mean, it’s people like that that make me feel like I’ve really got my shit together (har har, get it – shit. . .diapers?)
Ok, now on to the topic of this post- PLAID!!! Even target is on board with the whole plaid movement of fall- if you haven’t seen it, their slogan is “mad for plaid”- and they have the CAUUUUUUTEST plaids right now! (Not only in women’s clothing, but housewares too!) I love plaid for several reasons. 1. I feel like it instantly winterizes whatever you’re wearing and gives you that cozy, cold-weather bundled up feeling 2. It’s classy. It makes me feel like I’m a classy British woman ( I wish.) Pop on some red lippies and I’m all set. I love all the pieces I’ve chosen for today’s set! Especially the pencil skirts trimmed with leather. (A little sassy, a little classy!)
