    Cocktails at home with Fuzzy’s Vodka

    This is one of the most enjoyable brand collaborations I’ve had during my blogging “career”. Some of you may not know that I was a bartender for years, so making cocktails is somewhat second nature to me! Today I’m sharing a few at-home cocktails I made using Fuzzy’s vodka: crafted from Midwestern corn, and distilled 5 times.

    Fuzzy Grey and Coconut Milk Latte

    I’m a big fan of a good Earl Grey tea latte, so why not make an easy version at home?

    Recipe:

    • 2 Oz. Earl grey tea (I make a concentrated version for this cocktail: 4 teabags for 4 cups of boiling water, steeped for 20 minutes)
    • 2 Oz. Fuzzy vodka
    • 3/4 oz raspberry or blackberry liqueur
    • 1/2 oz simple syrup
    • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
    • 1/2 oz coconut milk

    Using a shaker tin, pour vodka, tea, liqueur, simple syrup and lemon over over ice. Top shaker tin with pint glass and shake vigorously. Pour mixture plus ice into a rocks glass. Over the back of a spoon, gently pour the coconut milk to layer on top! ** you can also muddle fresh berries with the simple syrup to give it a little more of a fruity kick if you wish! (and I topped with a sprig of lavender bc it’s pretty and I felt like it )

    Fuzzy Brunch Cocktail

    Cocktails for brunch? Yes, please! This one is topped with one of my favorite super foods! Beets (juice). The sweetness from the OJ and pineapple balance out the earthiness of the beet juice in this one, and you shouldn’t need any additional sweetener.

    • 2 oz @fuzzys_vodka ▫️ 4 Oz orange-pineapple juice (I bought the kind without any added sugar)
    • 1 oz beet juice 
    • Optional: top with a splash of champs 🍾

     It doesn’t always have to be fancy to be delicious! Right!? I personally love beets but if you’re not a fan, you still may want to give this one a go: the beet isn’t over powering since you are pairing it with sweet, bold flavors AND: beets are a super food so technically it’s good for you, right!?

    Fuzzy Spiced Pear and Thyme Spritzer

    This one is my favorite of the bunch! I’ve always been a fan of natural fruit purees in my cocktails, and

    Fuzzy Spiced Pear and Thyme Spritzer

    Ingredients:

    • 2 oz. Fuzzy’s vodka
    • 1 oz spiced pear purée ▪️1 oz thyme infused simple syrup
    • ▪️squeeze of two lemon wedges
    • champagne topper

    • Purée:
    • ️1 peeled and cubed D’anjou pear
    • dash of cinnamon
    • ▪️dash of vanilla

    In a s sauce pan, just cover pears with water and simmer until pears are soft and water beings to reduce. Add vanilla and cinnamon and remove from heat. Blend in food processor until smooth.

    Thyme simple syrup:

    • ▪️ equal parts sugar and water
    • ▪️ 6-8 sprigs of fresh thyme 

    Bring water to boil. Add sugar and whisk until dissolved. Add thyme and let cool in an airtight container overnight and let macerate. (If you’d like to expedite the process, you can boil the thyme in the syrup, and strain  the leaves out before using for your cocktail.)

    In a cocktail shaker over ice, add vodka, pear purée and simple syrup. Top with pint glass, “lock” and shake vigorously. Pour into desired glass, and top with champagne or Prosecco. Garnish with a sprig of thyme and a slice of pear.

     You will have left over simple and purée for more cocktails! Cheers friends!

    You could also substitute a spiced pear liqueur for the purée to skip that step and speed things up.
