What do you wear when the season is transitioning to fall, but it’s still warm out? That was my dilemma last week when went for lunch on the patio. (We went to Public Greens, and I am a huge fan! Healthy choices people!) It was warm, but not hot, and I wanted to break out some of my new fall gear. I decided on a casual, tasseled poncho, felt hat, jean shorts (because I liked the look of the poncho of doubling as a mini-dress) and booties.
This fluffy little babe was more than happy to tag along for lunch, she LOVES car rides. Lookin’ fresh, right? She just got her butters whipped at Canine Cloud Nine in Carmel last week. (Heather and Amber are my favorite groomers! The facility is cage free, and Heather always likes to give Bleue a feather extension. . . well, because she’s a diva.) Ok, so I had include this last one just because I thought it was hilarious- we took these photos in front of a little HOTel off the Monon Trail in Broadripple, and I didn’t realize I was standing in front of the “el”. Wow. I wasn’t going to post it, but I thought it was kind of funny!
I was really diggin’ this poncho because it was loose and flowy- and while I didn’t wear anything under it on this occasion, I know I’ll be layering it up all winter! Plus, I loved the tasseling detail! AND did I mention it was $15? (I completely willing to admit how cheap I am. If you don’t love a bargain you’re a liar!)
And the hat, because I’m lazy and hate washing my hair.
