Shades of grey- Today’s Casual

April 23, 2015

Alright gf’s, it’s no secret I’m cheap. I’d rather buy 5 items for $100 at Forever 21 than one plain item at Saks for $125. I can’t help it.  So let’s dive right into to this post- because I can’t wait to share these bomb-diggity shoes I got for a steal.

Today I walked into Forev and immediately saw a random pair of size 5 metallic loafers, marked down  to $14.99. I immediately fell in love, but unfortunately don’t  I don’t wear a size 5 so I immediately fell into a hot .sweaty. panic. “MUST HAVE THEM!” I screamed as I feel to my knees in the store. (If you don’t know me- this is something I would actually do.)

It’s not often that I walk into a store and need an inhaler after I spy a particular item. Today this was the case.  That being said-I had to pee,  and I , mentally filed this pair of shoes away and made my way to the Macy’s restroom, 7.8 miles away.

I made a stop by Windsor store- accidentally of  course; and then made my way back to Forever 21, frantically searching for these precious babes. Do you know what? Jesus wanted me to have a pair of these because out of the 378,373,938 square foot store and 3 pairs left- there was one pair in my size.

They’ll make you feel good about yourself, I promise.   Can you tell I seriously adore these shoes?!!!. Actually, I got multiple compliments on them last night too! Winner winner chicken dinner.

The outfit was last minute before we went to Goose the Market for meats and cheeses for Bear Sandwiches. (#bridesmaids)  If you’re indy based and have never been, and like yoself some good meat- get on down there! (We love the cheese and charcuterie boards and they have a nice little wine selection!)

I didn’t realized it until I started to write down the source of the outfit in this blog, but this whole outfit is from Forever 21. The jeans are a couple years old, and so is the sweater. The necklace is too- but is no longer available. Sorry charlies.

This sums up  my casual style a lot- I tend to buy a lot of plain items and basics and dress them up  with accessories. Shoes, outerwear, jewelry, sunnies, handbags and scarves. These can all jazz up any basic pieces gals! Buy basic staple pieces (white, black and grey)  and jazz them up with your accessories!

That’s a wrap gals. ‘Til next time.
