This post is in collaboration with VII Code Beauty. All opinions are my own.
Today I’m talking skin care, specifically: eye cream. I have to say, there are lots of things I would go back in time and tell my younger self if I could, but one of them is: take better care of your skin! In my teens and early 20’s I would tan, lay out in the sun, forego sunscreen and go to sleep with my make up on. I didn’t have a dedicated skin care routine and using good skin care products was unheard of.
The last few years I have really focused on taking better care of my skin, and one of my favorite things to do is try new beauty products- SHOCKER! So, when VII Code Beauty reached out to me to see if I wanted to try their Oxygen Eye cream, I was so excited! (You can never try too many beauty products, amiright or amiright?)
Ok, so here’s the skinny on this eye cream, because I’m super picky about what I put on my face. I have somewhat sensitive skin and often times I’ll try a product once and then push it to the back of a drawer never to be used again. I wanted to use this for a month or so before sharing my experience with you guys so I could actually share my results with you.
I didn’t edit or touch up these photos because I wanted y’all to be able to see my REAL skin, as this is a skin post. I should also mention that it comes with a moon shaped tool that you can use to smooth on your under eye area, with the aim of getting more circulation in that area. I however preferred to use my finger for application purposes.
Ingredients are always important to me, and some of the natural ingredients in this hydrating eye cream include:
- Evening Primrose- boots blood circulation
- Avocado- Delivers antioxidant carotenoids
- Elderberry- more antioxidants for younger looking skin
- Chamomille- reduces dryness and restores suppleness
This eye cream is nearly scentless, goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly. It’s been great to wear under my concealer, and before bed as well. It’s also made with a stone-mortar extraction process to extract the nutrients from the above ingredients, which I think is pretty dang cool! I love it when I can find a product that uses old school natural ingredients, and transforms them into new-age products!
I’ve linked the same eye cream here for you if you’d like to try it for yourself!
What are your favorite eye creams? I would love to hear in the comments below!
